Using this site

By using I Need Handyman you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

Quotes are estimates until agreed

Prices shown or discussed on this site are indicative. A binding price exists only once we have understood the job and given you a written quote that you have accepted. If the work turns out to be larger than the quote covered, we stop and re-quote — nothing is added to your invoice that you have not approved first.

Submitting an enquiry

Sending an enquiry does not create a contract and does not book a visit. It starts a conversation. Please give accurate contact details and an honest description of the work: an inaccurate description is the most common reason a quote has to change.

Do not use the forms or the chat on this site to send:

• payment card details or bank information;
• anyone else’s personal information without their knowledge;
• abusive content, spam or anything unlawful.

The local business directory

Our directory lists independent local businesses. They are not our employees, our agents or our subcontractors. We do not vet them to the standard we apply to the tradespeople we assign to jobs, we take no commission from them, and we cannot quote, schedule or accept responsibility on their behalf.

If you contact one of them, that is a matter directly between you and that business. Check their credentials yourself, exactly as you would with any business you found elsewhere.

Accounts

If you create an account, keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend an account that is being used abusively.

The chat assistant

The assistant on this site is automated. It can help you describe a job and find the right service, but it cannot give a binding price, make a booking commitment, or provide professional advice on safety, structural or legal matters. When it matters, speak to a person on (630) 854-2247.

Content on this site

The text, photographs, logo and design of this site belong to Ineedhandyman. Project photographs show work we have carried out. You may share links to the site freely; please do not copy the content for use elsewhere without asking.

Availability

We try to keep the site up and accurate, but we do not guarantee it will be available without interruption or free of errors. The service list, availability and coverage areas can change.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our responsibility for the website is limited to what is reasonable — our obligations for work we carry out are governed by the quote you accepted and by your rights as a consumer, which these terms do not affect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States.
